“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” (Philippians 1:3–6, NKJV)
Paul’s opening words to the Church at Philippi well express my thoughts. Even though, like you, I sometimes get tired, I have never tired of the call to DAC. I have never regretted accepting the call to serve here with you. I have always thanked God for the people of DAC. But, this Corona crisis has even made me more thankful. Pam and I were talking the other day, “we have a lot of great people in DAC.” So, all this to say, as difficult as this crisis has been, one of the many Romans 8:28 realities is an even greater appreciation for the people of DAC. Tough times bring out the best in God’s people. As I expressed in this writing a few weeks ago I’m so blessed and thankful for our ministry team – our church staff. I feel doubly blessed, because I feel the same toward you the people of DAC. I can’t say it or pray as well as the Apostle, so I’ll let his prayer stand as mine for you.
“And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.” (Philippians 1:9–11, NKJV)
