I just finished participating in an online prayer meeting with dozens of Christian and Missionary Alliance pastors all over Florida. It was such an encouragement. I didn’t pray one word, but was so blessed to pray silently with others – most of which were scriptures prayed back to God. Not only was it encouraging to hear them pray, but their heart and their perspective and their experience was an echo of mine.
They, like me, like you, are trying to live in love by being selfless – wise, responsible, and discerning. In the meantime, we’re all surrounded by pundits pretending they know everything. The reality is only One knows anything. Their prayers led me to the following passage from Isaiah reinforcing the same. May it bless you as it blessed me.
Who among you fears the LORD, listening to the voice of His Servant? Who among you walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the name of Yahweh; let him lean on his God.
-Isaiah 50:10
Historically, our children and student ministries have used school closings as a guide for cancellations. Consequently, during the pandemic response we have been planning to re-institute in-person Sunday morning Sunday School when the schools resume on campus in-person classes. The Volusia County schools recently changed their start date from August 19 to August 31. So, Sunday morning Sunday School, with attempted healthy together protocols for all ages, has been changed from August 16 to August 30 for both campuses.
With you;
Listening for a Shout,
Pastor Brad
